The Sonic Domain Theory (Teoria do Domínio Sonoro) is an original framework for thinking about time and space in music, developed by André Codeço in his 2019 doctoral thesis at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). It brings together music, mathematics, and philosophy of time, building a set of analytical and compositional tools.
At its core, the theory proposes a generative basis for compositional work and several analytical tools.
At this time, all texts are in Portuguese.
